Literacy Center

The Literacy Center was established as part of Mililani Waena’s Comprehensive Student Support System.  Multi-sensory reading strategies, phonemic awareness activities, and leveled text guided reading approaches are utilized to support identified students in Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2.  As part of the school’s early intervention initiatives, the goal of the Literacy Center is to increase reading proficiency by providing an interconnected support system for  students, teachers, and families.
