Quarter 2

Dear Mililani Waena Ohana,

I hope your child had a great first quarter being Enthusiastic Explorers. As our students explore the many different facets of education, we are so proud of them as they continue to grow. A great exploration example occurred with our Student Council, JPOs, and GT student. In early October, these students explored what it meant to be a gold-medal winning Olympic caliber athlete. They participated in a once in a life time curling event in which Olympic gold medalists Tyler George and Joe Polo trained them in the sport of curling. We owe a warm mahalo to American Savings Bank for sponsoring this event and for providing our students with enriching life experiences.

I would like to thank our parents as well for their continued patience in the morning drop-off and afternoon pick up, as out traffic situation is very busy. We continue to work with the City and County of Honolulu, and State to try and come up with the best possible solution. Please remember to slow down when approaching our crosswalks. Please drive with ALOHA.

Don’t forget to save the date of Friday, November 16, 2018 as this is our annual Fun Fair. The fair runs from 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM. School gets out at 1:00 PM on that day, and Wednesday, November 13, 2018 dismissal is at 2:05 PM.With the holiday season just around the corner, please take time to enjoy this special time with family and friends. Have a great quarter! We hope we are able to develop our relationships with you further through this month's parent teacher conferences.
