I'm so excited to tell you hack system it is a Safeway for you supposed to be able to Starbucks without having to enter our library Learning Center Sophie checked out and delivery to your classrooms for stew that are 100% online if you still wanted to borrow books you can we will pull the books for you will check them out and you can pick up your books at our front office so you might be thinking how many books can I borrow during this time I'm excited to tell you that now all students can borrow up to three books yes kindergarten you can borrow up to three books and hold on to them for 14 days so how do you reserve books all you need to do is visit our school website www.aa.org so let me show you how it is so here we are at our school website you go to grade levels and you scroll all the way down to library once here you will see that we have our two ls2pac system Solar is all we're grade 325 ls2pac catalog okay what is here. She look familiar to you you can search for books in different ways you can do a tie author subject or Siri search here in this bar we also have to book carousels so here we have new releases and so this includes ebook as well as books that we have in library and this nanny reading Carousel includes books in the Hawaii state and then a reading program for grades 4 and 5 and it also has ebooks as well as regular books so I'm just going to do a search for small spaces which is a book on our reading this but I thought this might be a little faster so I'm going to and I want you to pay attention to right under the book cover so here it says ebook here it says he audiobook what you want to look for to reserve a book with those that stayed book under so I'm going to click on small spaces this is kind of a scary story and if you want to find out what it is about then you cannot read the summary and if you scroll down just a bit you see that we have two copies and both are sorry folks to borrow so what you need to do is now place a hold so you click on please fold and just put that your deal weekend number and your PIN number is your birthday so it is two digits for month and two digits for day so if your birthday is January 4th you would put in 0104 and you click on login all right now you will see the screen Papa and I want the first available copy or I want a specific copy always select I want the first available copy and then you will submit your hold and so now the system will notify me that you have a book on hold and if it is available I will pull the book check it out to you and have it delivered to your classroom or car pick up in the front office now you have reserved your books make sure that you log out so you can see that I'm in my library account right now so this probably will say your name and then you just need to log out all right so just a word of caution that if you do reserve a book and it already is borrow not available you can still reserve it and once the copy that you are requesting is returned then we will check it out to you you would be put on a waitlist but once books are returned to the library during this time we are not going to touch the books for at least a week or two to make sure that it is safe to borrow again so you might need to a little bit before you get your hands on the books if it is already borrowed now let's go and take a look at the Ellis to pack k-25 hack system but it's a little bit more kid-friendly all right once we are here in the endless to pack kids there are three ways you can search for books we are in Explorer categories where you can scroll through different books subjects there are series and tractor books if you click on here and there's also a search bar where you can type in I guess title author subject for series but since we are here explore categories maybe we might want to look at rabbit books on the rabbit and right now there are eight rabbit books the book the book icon this icon means that these are ebooks so I can read the summary to see what the forget about and if this is something you're interested in you click on I want this then Scout our dog will ask you again the library ID your 10-digit number and your pain will be your birthday two digits for months and two digits for day and you click on I want it and it will reserved and then make sure that you reserve the first available copy alright everyone so that's how easy it is to reserve I'm at our library during this time so let's stay connected to books in a safe way I wanted to end this presentation with a quote by Helen Exley books can be dangerous the best one should be labeled this could change your life happy reading
