Principal's Message

June 1, 2018

Aloha Parents and Students,

As the school year has come to an end, our hearts and minds are filled to capacity. It’s been an exciting and spectacular year! Together we’ve learned much and created memories that will remain with us in the years to come. The support of everyone in our community helped to make our school a wonderful place of learning. Mililani Waena Elementary School is truly a special place.

A very special thanks to our parents who have contributed in small, large, and unimaginable ways! Thank you for instilling the importance of promptness by bringing your children to school on time each day. Thank you for guiding, encouraging, and supporting your children with their learning. This partnership between home and school is so very important.
I would like to thank our hardworking and caring staff members who have made a huge difference to our students. Their commitment is outstanding and our students are the beneficiaries. Thank you for providing rich, engaging, well-rounded experiences for our students. They realize that education is about joy, wonder, and fostering curiosity. For these, and a million other things, we are truly grateful.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all students of Mililani Waena Elementary School! I wish you all a very happy, safe and enjoyable summer. Please be sure to take time as a family to talk, play, and relax together. Good luck and Aloha to our 5th grade students who will be moving on to middle school. Please remember to keep a piece of Mililani Waena in your heart at all times.

I look forward to seeing everyone again in August. To those of you who are leaving us for new places, we wish you the best and remember the friendships you made at Mililani Waena.

Sincerely,
Troy Tamura
