Welcome to Mrs. Bejerana's Kindergarten Class!

Aloha P-9 Ohana!

I am very happy to welcome your child to kindergarten! Kindergarten will be filled with many new discoveries and wonderful experiences. As your child’s teacher, I will strive to do all that we possibly can to assist your child in the learning process and in further developing his/her academic, social, and "critical-thinking" skills.

As your child’s teacher, I would like to share a little information about myself. I have been married to my husband, Laurence, for almost 25 years and we have 2 children: Amanda (24) and Aaron (18), and 2 dogs, Kona and Dallas. We moved to Hawaii in 2004 from Guam. I have been teaching for the past 25 years, 14 of which were here at Mililani Waena. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/Education from the University of Guam, as well as a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Portland. Some of the things I enjoy doing are going on hikes, going to the movies, eating out with my family, watching tv, and reading.

I really enjoy teaching kindergarten, and I hope to make this a successful year for your child. In order for your child to make good progress, I believe that parent-teacher communication is essential. Any concern of yours is also a concern of mine as we keep your child’s best interest in mind at all times. I will make a good effort to keep you informed about what we are learning and doing in class through our class newsletters. As a means of communication, please feel free to write any questions or concerns you may have in your child’s H.A.T. (Homework Assignment Tablet), which will be sent home soon.

You can also communicate with me through e-mail: aimee_bejerana@notes.k12.hi.us.

Please keep in mind that I may not always be able to respond to your notes right away,

but I will try my best to address your questions and concerns as soon as I can.

Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Bejerana
