My name is Darlene Paracuelles and I am one of two teachers in your child’s classroom. I graduated from the University of Hawaii and am dual certified with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education. I have been a special education teacher at Mililani Waena since 2001. I have taught various Special Education grade levels (Kindergarten – 5th) and also taught in our school’s SpEd preschool program for many years. This is my sixth year in an inclusion setting, co-teaching with another teacher, and I love it! My role in your child’s kindergarten class is to co-teach with Mrs. Takushi to support all of our students. I am looking forward to working with your child.
Together with my husband, we have a total of 5 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Our granddaughters range from 22 months to 8 years old and our grandsons were born this year! I enjoy going to the beach and gym, spending time with family, and traveling. My favorite foods are: Chicken Kelaguen with red rice (Chamorro style), butterfish, salmon, dark chocolate, fruits, and snacks.
