Auditions

2018-2019 AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

As a reminder, audition requirements are as follows:

 

  • A verse and chorus, or up to 1 minute of a song that showcases your voice!  Songs should be performed with a karaoke backing track.  Students are welcome to use any song that they wish, but may also choose from the sample song selection below.
  • You may provide your own mp3 instrumental backing track or karaoke track on an iPad, iPhone, or other mobile device.  We will provide a speaker, which you will be able to connect your mobile device to.  Karaoke backing tracks can easily be found on youtube or iTunes.  If you do not have access to a mobile device, you may email the link to your track to Ms. Jenny at [email protected]
  • Your song excerpt must be memorized. 
  • Please plan to arrive a few minutes early.  Each audition/interview should last no more than 6 minutes.  Please refer to the audition schedule (PDF below) for your individual time.
  • Unfortunately, parents are not allowed in the audition room.
